About

Why this work matters
Persistent pain affects many children and teenagers. It can impact school, friendships, hobbies, and confidence.
The Pain Navigator project aims to provide accessible, reliable, and engaging education so that young people—and the people who support them—can better understand pain and learn practical ways to manage it.
Collaboration and co-design
The project is co-designed with input from young people, parents, healthcare professionals, and our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) group, ensuring that everything we create is relevant, inclusive, and grounded in real experiences.
